      During my studies, I sold subscriptions to The Economist via Facebook and Live Events. Facebook - I created a Facebook page that was Economist subscriptions exclusively for University of Reading students. I then enticed my friends to share and promote this page by giving them Economist freebies, such as books, Bluetooth speakers, etc. This meant the page gathered momentum and sales ensued. Live Events - This was the most time-effective sales channel as I could sell to people in person and handle objections. During the Freshers' Fayre, commercial interest tables were £500. To avoid paying this I made a deal with the economics society to share their table space and give them 15% of my profits for the day. Show less

      I was a street fundraiser for Amnesty before I went travelling in 2017. I took this position as I felt Amnesty does some great work around the world in advancing human rights. Representing a brand as recognisable as Amnesty International taught me the importance of brand recognition, trust and how that helps the sale move a lot quicker.
