Supported NET IDNX/20 hub site used as backup recovery for local and remote T-1's and 56kb backbone circuits.At Headquarters coordinated staging area for OS/2 rollout, pre-staged new PC-based platforms for the field.       Assigned to the workstation support group for downstate located at MetroTech Center in Brooklyn supporting over 800 internal and around 400 external users with hardware/software related issues. Responsibility included support for Cisco VPN/dialup users, Opticlient/Voip softphone, Blackberry devices, PC Guardian Encryption and asset management system to ensure data integrity.Managed Collaboration training room hardware using server blade technology, ensured software image for the 22 PCs were consistent and up to date.Developed successful proposal for the replacement PCs of the Collaboration room which had expired out-of-warranty desktops.Worked as a team member for major migration rollout. Migrated 1,200 users from windows/95 to 2000, then to windows XP. These migrations encompass both hardware replacements as well as major software upgrades. Replaced McAfee with the ManagedNow IBM web-based help desk system and later to HP Service Center. All trouble calls/tickets were met or exceeded within accordance to company’s policy.Installed and configured Citrix ICA 32 bit client Enterprise wide. Moved from imaging local area network administrator for the Medicare Division to becoming an on-site support technician with the help desk covering multiple sites.Directed all equipment moves, and system environment configuration changes at the Brooklyn location and coordinated all work through the Facilities department (following union policies).Served as a liaison to the Dell Direct Warranty Service Center, submitted all replacement parts request through Dell’s break/fix program. Managed all DNS, TCPIP, WINS, Static or DHCP and Gateway address. Configured and trained users on the usage of Outlook and Lotus Notes. All desktop/laptop had been configured with a standardized Norton Ghost image.
