      As a copywriter at Monex, I worked directly with the Advertising and Communications Manager and the Director of Marketing to accomplish our short-term and long-term marketing goals. My everyday tasks included the development of SEO-friendly copy for online content, writing and editing direct response emails, editing existing physical and online informational brochures, answering client questions about existing marketing campaigns, and conceptualizing future marketing ventures. I led Monex's first-ever organic social media campaign. Initial development of this campaign required me to pitch leadership on the need for social media, research relevant data and metrics for optimal campaign performance, operate under a strict budget, establish any social media infrastructure required, train coworkers on social media best practices, maintain constant communication with our legal team, and create effective content to accomplish our goal of increasing online brand presence. I also led our video creation team whose primary goal was pitching and creating new videos for our social media campaign and our website. As the head video creator, I coordinated with a video editor, key decision-makers in the company, and on-screen talent in order to create short and long-form videos that are engaging and relevant to our audience. During my time here I also pitched and developed TV spots for a national campaign. In doing so I worked directly with the director, producer, and story supervisor of a third-party production company to successfully create seven spots. Another major project I was involved with was a total website redesign for the company. During this redesign, I worked closely with graphic designers, web developers, and another copywriter to create new-new content and refine original, existing content to strengthen the storytelling element of the new site and maintain a consistent voice composed of simple and effective copy.
