  I researched and wrote papers on Singapore's foreign policy thought and extremism in Southeast Asia under A/P Kumar Ramakrishna and Dr Damien Cheong. I also had the opportunity to facilitate the inaugural National Security Symposium at SMU in February 2019, and through group discussions and dialogue with the Minister for Education, bring university students up to date with national security challenges facing Singapore today.

  I assist the Provost in overseeing academic matters to facilitate the implementation of processes and policies to meet the university's curriculum and administrative requirements as well as strategic plans, as part of the Office of the Provost.I assist in managing curriculum plans, reviewing academic policies and procedures, and providing support for academic meetings, including the monitoring and submission of papers and reports to the university’s Academic Board. I am coordinating the ongoing curriculum revamp, including changes regarding majors and minors, as well as enhancements to the curriculum system.I also liaise with schools, departments and the Ministry of Education (MOE) to improve academic processes, implement audit recommendations and launch new programmes. Show less I provided secretariat support to the SUSS Institutional Review Board (SUSS-IRB) in reviewing human subjects research to safeguard the rights of human participants in research. I reviewed applications and provided a preliminary assessment to researchers on research ethics, potential risk of harm, compliance with IRB policies and guidelines, as well as applicable laws and regulations in Singapore.I also represented the SUSS-IRB as a point-of-contact with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and supported the chairperson to develop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA), Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and university policies.
