      Started off as a groom working on the yard. Progressed to working as a holiday ‘pony day’ leader where I was responsible for a group of up to 8 children, between the ages of 4 and 15, for 8 hours a day. I advanced and experienced being in charge of running the stables on a weekend, leading the staff team and managing the day’s activities. This included being responsible for the office demands; from basic admin work, answering the phone and booking lessons to customer care and first aid.

      As a Duty Manager I gained insight into running the business. I led and closed shifts, was trusted with opening and closing procedures; which included handling large amounts of cash. Particular improvement in my team work, leadership, complaint handling and HR skills can be seen. Recruited new employees and developed the current employee retention rate.
