Some of my accomplishments and honors include being named the 2020 Minnesota Young Male Referee of the year and the 2020 Midwest Region Young Male Referee.

  Over the summer of my Junior year in high school, I was involved in a week-long experience of learning about Minnesota government at the local, county and state levels. My colleagues and I organized and participated in the various levels and branches of a mock Minnesota state government in addition to participating in athletics, music, and writing for the program's newspaper. Throughout the week there was political guest speakers, mock trials, campaigning, elections, and announcement of the Boys State Governor and State Constitutional Officers. Show less

  In the fall of 2020, I interned on Quinn Nystrom's congressional campaign in Minnesota's Eighth Congressional District. My responsibilities mainly included online phone banking. One of my accomplishments included making 1,500 calls during the last week of the campaign.

  As part of this position I helped to instruct undergrad classes and students on the operation of ArcGIS software, developed my own projects related to the German electoral system, and aided in a joint project with the Groundskeeping Team to use remote sensing to catalog items around campus. In the fall of 2021, I set out on a new journey as an Ice Technician for Colorado College's new Ed Robson Arena. My duties as an Ice Technician include shoveling snow off of the ice during commercial breaks, drilling holes for nets, and opening the Zamboni doors during NCHC games.

  My primary duties in this position included planting, transplanting, and seeding thousands of native plants as part of Dakota County's initiative to restore native prairies to former agricultural land. As part of a team of five individuals, I also spent hundreds of hours pulling invasive plant species, surveying threatened species of insects, and correcting beaver waterways.Working in this Americorps position taught me how small actions can impact my environment and the greater community. My work restoring native prairies will collectively help reinstitute native insect species and American Bison into re-claimed Minnesota prairies. By playing a part in restoring ecological diversity to these areas, I hope that my work allows future generations to enjoy a more sustainable and healthy environment. Show less

  In this position with the Governor’s Communications Team, I worked with the Community Engagement Office to identify and celebrate the outstanding work of constituents all around Colorado. Some of my duties included scheduling meetings, drafting letters, building contact lists, writing video scripts, and crafting memos. A large part of this position included scrubbing 30+ local newspapers on a weekly basis to identify upcoming events for the governor to attend.   For the entirety of the 2023-2024 school year, I interned with the U.S. State Department's Office of International Sanctions and Counterterrorism within the Bureau of International Organization Affairs. As part of this position, I restructured educational materials about current U.N. Sanction Regimes for inter-agency use and produced summaries of external events for an agency-wide weekly newsletter. I also produced written materials related to violations of Iranian sanction regimes and recent Houthis actions in the Red Sea. My final project involved drafting a multi-page report documenting Russia's growing frustration and attacks on unilateral sanctions regimes. Show less

  Zero Hunger Intern

  As Zero Hunger intern with the Congressional Hunger Center, I participated in a summer internship with the School Meal's Policy Division within the USDA's Food and Nutrition Service. My team that I worked in included nutritionists, program analysts, and regulation writers that provided support for updating regulations in regards to school meal patterns and nutrition standards. As an intern, I primarily assisted in the development of technical assistance resources to support the implementation School Breakfast Programs. Such tasks for this included developing presentations, talking points, and supporting materials for target audiences such as State agencies and local Child Nutrition Program operators. Show less
