      Oct 2011 - Dec 2022

Senior Leadership Instructor for Special Operations Soldiers. Facilitated instruction on the critical aspects of building, maintaining, developing, and being a part of highly effective teams. Ranked consistently in the top three of a pool of deep talent and hand selected for posting due to proven leadership ability and experience.Teaching at the Special Warfare Center and School was where I felt most at home because I was doing what I loved "Teaching and Facilitating." Each class had inherent challenges, and each student differed from the next. I loved coming to work every day because, in my view, I was helping future leaders become better and understand how to think, not to be told what to think.I incorporated my life lessons and readings that I felt were critical to leadership. Works such as Leadership is Language, Jim Collins Good to Great, and Stephen Coveys Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. I became an expert at reading the room, identifying ways to engage students, and using lean principles to improve how the course ran. Show less • Supervised a four-person Special Operations Civil Affairs Team to help support initiatives supporting the global war on terror, primarily focused on building governance resiliency and planning and implementing long-term infrastructure projects (schools, roads, local medical clinics). Assisted with Department of State program planning and implementation at the local levels with local government and military leaders. Planned and supervised all training at the operational and administrative levels and ensured teams were mission ready for over 200 missions spanning over six countries in two different geographic command areas (Africa and Central Asia). • Made critical decisions and exercised sound judgment on the teams' tactical and operational utilization while coordinating with the U.S. Embassy country teams to plan, resource, and execute Civil-Military outreach programs supporting U.S. Ambassador's country-specific objectives. Focused on analysis of the civil population to understand key drivers of instability and conducted program management to achieve milestones at the local government level supporting regional end-states.• Prepares the team to deploy worldwide to conduct humanitarian assistance; maintains accountability and operational readiness of equipment valued over $3,000,000. Show less • As a Special Operations Combat Medical Course (SOCM) graduate taught at Ft. Bragg, I was the lead Advanced Tactical Medical Practitioner in deployed settings, mainly in Africa and Afghanistan. I advised local medical providers in creating programs that improve life outcomes for local populations. I was responsible for sustaining Team Members' lives with minimal support for at least 72 hours in austere environments (Prolonged Field Care). Besides minor surgeries (sutures, surgical airways, chest thoracotomy, total I.V. Anesthesia [TIVA] et al.), I also provided routine patient care and treated various degrees of muscular skeletal injuries.• While deployed, I planned medical outreach and education programs while coordinating with local military and non-government organizations and U.S. Embassy teams to further U.S. interests abroad. These programs were derived from analysis by working by, with, and through local providers to understand disease patterns and processes that empowered local health systems to curb endemic diseases. • I also gained invaluable experience while working at Trauma Centers, including Tampa General Hospital, Cook County Hospital, and Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, to develop a base of medical knowledge in various emergency situations. While learning and working with department leads (Emergency, Burn, Neonate, OR, and Labor & Delivery), I honed my medical skills and learned to perform under pressure. Practiced critical skills in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Emergencies for Pre-Hospital Professionals (PEEP), Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Tactical Practitioner (ATP) certified since 2011.
