      The Lobby Restaurant was Canberra’s premier classical fine dining restaurant with a long reputation hosting high level dignitaries and politicians. Located opposite Old Parliament House it was a popular restaurant for Politicians, Lobbyists and Journalists hosting long lunches. On weekends The Lobby was Canberra’s premier wedding destination often booked 12 to 18 months in advance and during peak season hosting up to 4 or 5 weddings over a weekend.

Located opposite the Canberra theatre it was not uncommon to service 200 to 300 customers across multiple dinner seatings for a busy a la carte restaurant service.

Premium catering services delivered to high profile Federal Government departments and Embassies which usually required a process of tender applications and contracted service standards. Notable contracts were held for extensive periods with The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade; The Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet; The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries; The National Health and Medical Research Council; The CSRIO; The Australian Public Service Commission which included daily catering for up to 12 in-house training workshops for public servants.Extensive event catering and VIP corporate catering supplied to ACT Government with successive annual public events such as Canberra’s Birthday celebrations (attendance 20,000), The National Multicultural Festival (attendance 50,000), Symphony in the Park (attendance 12,000), Canberra’s balloon Festival (attendance 90,000 over 4 weekends); Australian of the Year celebrations (attendance 20,000).Responsibilities: Day to day operations of small business; client liaison with both government and private sectors; business development including tender applications and contract management; functions catering; website development and maintenance; IT management; payroll and workplace relations; management of staff in several offsite locations; events management.Food To Go CafeThe ‘Food To Go’ cafe was the public face of our catering operations. A small 70 square meter coffee shop located in the western side of the CBD we attracted a high-profile clientele with a simple ‘grab and go’ concept.
