Welcome Calling and Quality Control Manager

Managing a team of 3 to 4 care callers responsible for contracting approximately 300-600 donors per week. Responsible for hiring and training new callers as required, while coaching current callers to ensure a high level of administrative accuracy and an exceptional phone manner. This includes planning monthly 1 to 1 call listening sessions with callers, monitoring performance by listening to a high volume of calls individually, and ensuring all training and reference materials are always up to date. The role also requires strong and dynamic planning abilities, in order to correctly resource shifts and plan time in the face of a highly variable volume of donors. This role also has a strong data element, with responsibility for ensuring that all donor data is accurate, querying and resolving any discrepancies, and investigating anything unusual by communicating with fundraising managers, clients and donors. Insights must also be routinely fed back to fundraising managers to inform the coaching of their street fundraisers – this requires a keen eye for what is useful and important information, and what is statistical noise. This role requires extremely high levels of organisational ability, time management, and attention to detail. Management of conflicting priorities is also a key part of this role, with time needing to be split between the responsibilities detailed above and longer term projects. One example of such a project was gathering qualitative data from new fundraisers by calling them and talking about their experiences to assess the efficacy of a new training program, then presenting findings to managers to advise how the training scheme could be improved.
