  As a Data Insights Bootcamp Demonstrator at the National Innovation Centre for Data, I worked alongside a team of five demonstrators to guide student groups in solving real-world problems brought by industry-leading and creative arts organisations. My main responsibilities were introducing agile methodology and Python to enable students to learn business and data analysis skills, as well as assisting students with technical issues and providing feedback on their progress.

  Deep learning engineer

  As a Deep Learning Engineer at Natural and Environmental Sciences, Newcastle University, I developed a crop classifier for 5 to 25 varieties of Solanum Tuberosum using my expertise in computer vision and machine learning.To achieve optimal results, I collaborated with two agricultural scientists as a team to identify ways to improve the model's performance. Together, we experimented with different feature extraction and selection techniques, as well as fine-tuned the model's hyperparameters to achieve high accuracy and precision in crop classification.Through this project, I gained valuable experience in applying deep learning techniques to real-world problems in the agricultural industry, as well as in collaborating effectively with domain experts to achieve our goals. I also developed strong skills in computer vision, machine learning, and model optimisation, which have proven to be valuable in my subsequent work in the field. Show less
