  Performed research on ceramic composite structures. Examining how loading rate and adhesive thickness influence energy dissipation within the structure. Continued research by testing strengthening mechanisms for glass including chemical hardening via ion exchange and thermal treatment. Evaluations done based on fracture toughness calculated form Vickers micro-hardness tests. Served as the PI for an undergraduate research project that researched and tested the potential of non-Newtonian fluid impregnated nylon cloth as a puncture resistant, light, and flexible armor.
