Western Australian Local Governments require a CBP as part of the Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework (IPRF), a framework created by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries(DLGSC). The role is responsible for administration of ‘Cascade Strategy’, the software used to produce progress reports on strategic actions. The role also involves providing training to other staff, mainly the Senior Manager Team and Service Area leader team, on how to use Cascade, in addition to reporting procedures. The role sits with the Town’s Governance and Strategy Team, working to ensure the strategic reporting requirements of Chief Executives, internal staff, Council/Elected Members and the general community are understood and met.
