      I lead a team of 70 motivated individuals operating across four jurisdictions (Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man & Gibraltar) that are focused on providing top quality end to end service for the banks International, Retail, Corporate and Business customers. Whilst delivering excellent service to our valued customers base on a day to day basis and keeping the bank safe and secure, my main aim will be to drive the banks digital innovation across the team and empower and support my team as they progress through their careers. As a leader in the Local Banking team my main role is to support the Banks top 25 customers which are located in my home jurisdiction Jersey. My portfolio is diverse, dealing with large corporates and real estate clients. 23 years into my banking career and I am still learning everyday. They called 2008 a crisis, 2020 will have a more wide reaching impact on future generations and how we operate. Show less Primary responsibilities in this role were to manage a diverse portfolio of Real Estate clients that were banked by RBSI across the core jurisdictions we operate in. The client base ranged from Private Equity Real Estate clients through to entrepreneurs that I supported through the provision of bespoke funding structures.The portfolio I managed had a good mix of property development and investment structures with the asset base covering a wide spectrum of shopping centres, offices, student accommodation through to residential units that were funded via c£700m of bank funding. The main duties in this role were deal execution, credit stewardship and on going monitoring of the facilities in line with agreed banking covenants. The transactions I supported or approved ranged from significant Investor Backed Leverage Financing structures through to Real Estate and Corporate debt structures. The period I spent in RBSI’s credit function was very beneficial for my development and confidence when dealing with liabilities side of the RBSI balance sheet.
