  Research Assistant

  I did my internship during summer 2018 as a research assistant at Subsoontorn lab in the Biochemistry department at Naresuan University, Thailand. In the lab, we did a project on using CRISPR-Cas9 as antibiotics for black tiger shrimp and pacific white shrimp by targeting the elimination of Vibrio harveyi, which is a pathogenic bacteria. Doing those lab projects enhanced my laboratory skills and teamwork skills.

  As director of Samaggi Music Fest, I was in charge of communications and had to cooperate with both my team and others, organising the concert for over 2000 participants. Besides delegating tasks, I contacted venue organizers, sound engineers and artists and as I was in charge of ticket sales, I acted as a point of contact for customers every day during that period.

  Master Thesis Project

  My dissertation topic was the review of formulations strategies to enhance the SPF values. Researching in this topic gave me a deep understanding in sunscreen formulations and thier ingredients.

  My PhD project is focused on heterologous expression of mycosporine-like amino acid (MAA) biosynthetic gene clusters in Streptomyces hosts. Mycosporine-like amino acids (MAAs) are groups of natural products from marine organisms such as bacteria, fungi, and algae that have sun protection capabilities. The aim is to express the production of Mycosporine glycine and other MAAs in Streptomyces. Then, the MAAs produced will be isolated and elucidated the structure using analytical chemistry techniques (i.e., HPLC, MS and NMR). Show less

  Judge

  iGem competition is the biggest annual Synthetic Biology competition in the world. Thounsands of inspriring projects were proposed by the students from around the globe. Being a part of the judge team gave me the chance to work with international colleges. I evaluated and gave feedbacks to the teams that I was allocated to. It was a nice experience working with iGem.

  Welfare Officer

  As a welfare and inclusion officer of Warwick Fencing, I am in charge of the members' wellbeing and inclusivity within the club. I introduced the welfare drop-in sessions to the club as a safe space for members to come and discuss their issues. I also wrote wellbeing tips linking to the University resources in the club's weekly emails. I was trained by both the University and British Fencing as a welfare officer for the fencing club and fencing event.
