    • Halfords

      Aug 2010 - Dec 2014
      Customer service advisor

My roles were varied at Halfords. My main duties were based around the till, but as I spent more time at the company, I developed skills which made me able fill the role of a basic car parts fitter, as well as bike builder. Although the training was very much 'on the job', I felt as though I developed both practical and social skills which made me increase in value to the company.

    • Hawkshirst scout activity centre

      Mar 2013 - Dec 2014
      Outdoor activity instructor

At Hawkshirst, I feel that I came into my own. My main role was to instruct groups of varying ages on a wide range of outdoor activities, ensuring that every member of the group thoroughly enjoyed themselves, whilst in a safe environment. These activities ranged from paddling to rock climbing to archery. I was responsible for the health and safety paperwork which needed to be completed for every activity, and accompanied the Lead Instructor on the risk assessments regularly. This included surveying the area for suitability and examining the equipment which was to be used to ensure it was fit for purpose. My confidence was further boosted upon completion of my Level 1 Coaching award. Looking back at my time there, I feel that having worked with such a wide variety of clients has helped me to be able to relate to an incredibly wide array of people, from all different backgrounds and of all ages. • Doubletree by hilton

      Mar 2015 - Sept 2015
      Bar staff

At the Doubletree in Sheffield, I ensured constant customer satisfaction while they stayed with us in the hotel. My cheery disposition and willingness to help always won over the hardiest of customers. I had many general duties within the hotel, most were based around the administration of the bar, such as cash management and stock control. I was always willing to lend a hand where it was needed, and I often found myself at one of the many corporate banquets and events that we would hold. I felt empowered and able to deal with any situation that arose, and my confidence grew further. Show less

    • Ramside hall

      Sept 2015 - Oct 2016
      Bar supervisor

During my time at Ramside Hall, my duties included the supervision of the team within the Spa complex. I ensured that they worked to a high standard, while they understood their individual roles in the business. This had the effect of the team appearing as a highly motivated, efficient and organized one. My other duties included stock management, this had to be tailored to each specific event, so a deep understanding of our client base was required. The cleanliness of the storerooms and cellars was also one of my responsibilities, with the help of the team, they were kept to a very high level of hygiene. Being very versatile, I was able to assist in other areas of the business when necessary, and the managers were able to confidently call upon me when they felt they needed assistance. Show less
