The revamp involved up gradation of Furnace tubereplacement and from Benfield process to BASF Alpha MEDA alsoExecuted Erection and commissioning of AMINE unit (CO2 removal system ) licensed by BASF,including flushing, chemical cleaning and hydro testing of newly installed sectionI also worked Revamp team of Ammonia plant for expansion project to increaseAmmonia capacity of 600 MTPD to 750MTPD at Pak- American Fertilizer limited Show less As a Shift engineer at Ammonia plant, my job responsibilities are:• Shift operations activities in the Ammonia Plant, monitoring process activities, providing advice and instructions to alter operating parameters, controlling routine and emergency shut-down and arranging Plant maintenance activities.• Arrange maintenance through the appropriate channels, ensuring that equipment is isolated, clean and free of toxic gases, issue “permits to work” with relevant approval where necessary, guide technicians to work area and outline the observed problem. Ensure that jobs are completed safely and equipment’s are taken back on line as per the standard procedures.• Ensure at all times that steps are taken to optimize operating conditions and thereby minimize costs while maintaining the quality. This includes checking catalyst temperatures, observing and correcting gas, steam and water levels.• Participate in detailed operational training of new employees and reviews their training work assignments and comments on their progress to the Ammonia Operation Manager.• Timely and safe start-up or routine/emergency shut-down of the process.
