      • Responsible for the safe running of the AT 300 Intercity Test Train, including liaising with external suppliers and customers to ensure all testing is carried out professionally, safely and without delay. Reading, extracting information and working to test specifications, method statements, rolling stock drawings and maintenance specifications to achieve the type acceptance of the AT 300 Stock.• Commissioning of the AT 300 stock in a costly and timely manner. Helping Hitachi achieve its contractual requirement of service trains to GWR on time.• Identifying and rectifying defects and discrepancies on track and within depot adhering to strict health, safety, environmental & quality practices. Including the manufacturing and fitting of test equipment to the train for various tests required.• Dynamically rectifying on track faults and issues on Hitachi AT 300 trains to reduce delays in train movements and fines incurred for such knock on delays to in service trains. • Communicating effectively with critical stakeholders such as Network Rail, GB Rail Freight, test suppliers, test operator and final customer to achieve the desired results. Working with Japanese, German and other international engineers in various tests outside the scope of the detailed test program, ensuring that the program efficiency is not adversely affected whilst allowing as much access for ad hoc testing as possible.
