      CITEC (formerly the State Government Computing Centre) provides IT services to public and private clients. It is the primary ICT service provider for the Queensland Government and provides Data Centre Management of IBM mainframes for Queensland Government agencies and other clients. Responsibilities:• On-call and system support (24x7 DB2 Technical Support) for high availability and mission-critical systems.• Systems administration of DB2 for OS/390, including database, transaction processing, operating system.• Installing and maintaining vendor software (including CA (Platinum) product Database Analyser).• DB2 performance tuning, managing and preventing system outages.• Providing system support for clients' application software testing. Achievements:• Provided system support and recovery for Test Conversion and Final Conversion of Queensland Department of Transport's new Drivers License Authorisation System.• Developed a new automatic batch job submission system, designed and implemented DB2 housekeeping improvements and automated the procedures to recover failed disk volumes.
