  American Dredging was one of the largest dredging companies in North America and the world. Supervised dredging projects using hydraulic, bucket, dragline and shovel dredges. Projects included; deepening of the Delaware and Hudson rivers, landfilling at; Eastwick, PA the Food Center, the Philadelphia Airport, and landfill restoration for hurricane damage at Long Beach Island, NJ. Installed bridge cofferdams, dug trenches for cross-river pipelines and then covered them.

  Raymond International was one of the largest heavy, design construct companies in the world. RAYTECH was Raymond’s design arm. We designed offshore platforms and engineered their installation, engineered the laying of offshore pipelines and cables. engineered ports (LNG, oil, coal,& commodities), floating bridges, bridges over rivers and bays, cut and cover tunnels coastal jetties and seawalls, offshore drainage structures building jacking and support systems and all types of deep pile foundations.   Civil engineering consulting in the area of port and offshore construction. Representative work included the following;1. Traveled to Nigeria and gathered data required for a port construction project. Returned to Houston and with design staff designed a port for unloading cement in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. 2. Working for a Construction Co. designed a single point mooring in St Kitts, Caribbean. Designed a port to load out gas oil separating plants (GOSPs) on specially designed barges for transportation to Kuwait. 3. Working for Florida Hydro analyzed the Florida Gulf Stream for suitability for proprietary hydraulic turbines. Compiled all existing data on the stream and determined the potential power that could be derived from the turbines and advised on installation construction methods.4. Developed a patent (Granted) for fixing an array of turbines in the Gulf Stream to produce commercial power.5. Planned a method for delivering gas from North Dakota to Europe via ocean gas lines by way of a sub-arctic route. 6. Developed and patented (Applied) a process to enable an S-lay pipe-laying vessel to concurrently trench, lay and bury large gas pipelines in the ocean. Show less
