  · Placed in the City of Garland Engineering Department. · 8 week exposure plan made for me to be introduced to each group within department.· Did basic office duties such as scanning & electronic filing.· Worked with Stormwater Department, got tasked with creating a billboard addressing fast food littering. Also got to attend outreach events and helped out with photographing the event.· Worked with GIS department. Learned how to georeference drainage area maps & floodplain maps. Kept an organized workflow. · Worked with Capital Improvement Project group (CIP). Learned about plans, tasked with calculating (cfs), went on site visits.· Worked with Private Development group. Sat in on pre-submittal meetings, created notes for the meetings.· Worked with the Surveyors. Introduced how to survey and the history behind it.· Worked with Right of Way group. Addressed complaints, visited sites, processed around 50 permits.· Worked with Field Engineering group. Visited sites & sat in on pre-construction meetings.· Created a SOP for future interns.
