  As partial fulfillment of the requirements of the undergraduate Mechanical engineering program of Khalifa University. I was assigned to DP world [Engineering Training Center] for eight-week internship program. The primary objective of the internship is to generate a complete understanding of the workplace relationship, performing of the activities and engaging oneself in the working environment. In a way, it was more to get practical implication of all the studies, theories that I had acquired so far. This internship program was planned and delivered by the Engineering Training Center of DP World. During this internship program I had a full learning and working experience for eight weeks. The internship program has provided me with a lot of opportunities that helped me expand my knowledge and gain real life experience by applying the theoretical background I have and put it into practice through different activities.   Mechanical Engineer

  In order to put my education into practice, and to expand my practical knowledge, I participated in an internship program with Sharjah Municipality [The transportation department] for six-weeks. The Transportation Department is responsible for the general supervision of the operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment and vehicles owned by Sharjah City Municipality. During this program I learned how to service vehicles according to the manufacturer's guidelines, identify any additional work required, complete pre-delivery inspections (PDI), change tyres and complete any minor mechanical repairs as required. Ensure that work is completed to the highest possible standard, and within agreed timescales to ensure customer satisfaction. Attend regular staff meetings, using them as a basis for the communication of any ideas for improvement in processes or cost savings. Show less

  'Jaywun’, a 50-meter vessel developed by the emirate’s environment agency EAD, was launched by its Chairman Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. The vessel's goal is to strengthen national and global marine science and monitor and assess the environment and the effects of climate change on biodiversity.
