      Reporting to the Assistant Vice Provost for Equity and Diversity (OED), the Gender and Sexuality Center for Queer and Trans Life Director is committed to creating a strong and supportive campus environment for LGBTQ+ people and helping to foster a University community and campus climate that values and actively supports inclusiveness, equity, and diversity. The Director provides vision, leadership, and management oversight for Center programs and services on the Twin Cities campus. As a member of the OED leadership team, the Director works collaboratively with the OED leadership, including the directors of the Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action, Disability Resource Center, the Multicultural Center for Academic Excellence, the Office for Business and Community Economic Development, the Office for Conflict Resolution, and the Women’s Center to further the vision and goals of OED and the University. The Director will also work collaboratively with collegiate and student affairs units and consultatively with other areas of the campus in addressing issues of climate for LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, and visitors.The Director, with the Center staff, OED staff, and system-wide diversity professionals and allies, works to foster a supportive University community for LGBTQ+ people and others and helps educate and provide resources for all members of the University community about issues related to the experiences and perceptions of LGBTQ+ students, faculty, staff, and guests.
