  Inpatient setting opportunity where I worked with physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and occupational therapists that saw primarily short-term and long-term geriatric residents at their rehabilitation gym. Assisted primarily physical therapy assistants and occupational therapists by performing tasks such as transporting residents and observing their daily routines. Conducted group exercises with the senior residents that promoted the strengthening of muscles that have been impacted by conditions such as strokes and varying injuries. Gained valuable insight into a diverse elderly patient population by observing individuals with varying conditions such as dementia, stroke recovery, cognitive impairments, and other conditions that are typical in an inpatient setting.   Unpaid internship opportunity that provided hands-on experience with physical therapists at a private female-owned physical therapy clinic.Acquired valuable skills and tools integral to physical therapy such as precise measurement techniques and learning therapeutic exercises that help patients achieve their goals. Developed and strengthened teamwork and communications skills through collaborative engagement with physical therapists and physical therapy assistants in an outpatient setting. Actively observed this outpatient faculty to familiarize myself with a non-private outpatient physical therapy setting. Collaborated with patients of all ages including pediatric, geriatric, and adult populations to deliver efficient care. Administered LASER therapy to patients in a professional and skilled manner, allowing patients to achieve their desired results. Interned for four hours a day on weekdays seasonally since Dec. 2021. Engaged in comprehensive exploration that helped distinguish differences between this setting and other physical therapy settings.
