    • Technical Resource Centre

      Jan 1986 - Sept 1989
      Technical Aids Consultant

The mandate of the Technical Resource Centre was to support people with physical disabilities to find appropriate technologies (e.g., mobility, communication, environmental controls) that would enhance there ability to interact in society and lead more independent lives. In this non-profit organizational, we learned about the power of a truly transdisciplinary team that was focused on a common goal.

    • Alberta Health Services

      Jul 2009 - Oct 2013

As Senior Provincial Director of LPI, I worked with the LPI team (95+ employees) and the AHS Senior Leadership Team to create the conditions for leading, promising and emerging practices to be identified, assessed and, where appropriate, spread across the organization. The Leading Practices & Innovation team includes people with the diverse range of expertise to support connecting people to people, people to information and people to leading practice. The strength of the area is clearly in the diversity, creativity and ability of staff to stimulate thinking in new ways about health services issues. As such, the mandate is to support capacity and capability organizational learning and development. LPI practices reflect those of that identified as knowledge management practices in many other industries. Show less
