  Managed staff of ten employees in the day to day operation of museum and living history sites. Drove annual increases in attendance to both natural and historical attractions by securing new museum exhibits, publishing articles in a variety of newspapers and journals, designing new interpretive signage and launching new tour options inspired by ongoing archival research and oral history interviews.   Successfully drafted more than two dozen funded proposals securing over $2 million for workforce development trainings. Initiated partnerships with regional governments, CDCs, national nonprofit organizations and businesses to leverage the academic and workforce development resources of the college. Awarded grants from Federal, State and foundation sources including U.S. EPA, U.S. Department of Transportation, Ohio Department of Development, Ohio EPA, Ohio Board of Regents and multiple corporate foundations.   Designed and implemented grant making strategies and community outreach initiatives for corporate clients, as well as donor advised and field of interest funds. Manage the targeted dispersal of resources from a portfolio of 13 funds to meet a variety of community needs. Convened coalitions of community and national experts to address regional challenges resulting in a $3.8 million U.S. Department of Labor grant to support workforce training for youth in Toledo and a $1.9 million investment from multiple funders to address water quality in the Great Lakes. Selected as one of 12 participants from a nationwide pool of candidates for the exclusive PLACES Fellowship program which explored equity issues through a series of site visits with national leaders across the U.S. Show less
