It is northern railways' maintanence shed.-Both diesel engines and electric locos come here for repair and maintenace work.-In this two months training we were introduced about the working structure of each of the shops. There are different shops for each system of engine.-Examples of few shops are traction, steering, chasis, shunting, electric loco etc.

  -My work profile included calibration of many parameters like thermal, pressure, flow, volume, mass, acoustic, speed, dimension & density.-Instruments I used to calibrate as per above parameters were thermometers, RTD's/PRT's, thermocouples, industrial ovens, pressure/vacuum gauges, viscometers, all types of laboratory glassware, weight box and balance, sound level meter(SLM), tachometer, calipers, screw gauge, sieves, lactometer, hydrometer, alcoholometers & many other instruments which above stated parameters can be calibrated.-My workload included maintaining the calibration of internal instruments (used in different labs of the institute itself) and external instruments.
