It was an uplifting experience where I get to teach, and inspire others about their purpose in coming to BYU-Idaho, and how they can improve their learning experience here. It is both an intellectual and spiritual experience.

Few things were as engaging and challenging as that internship for me and I take pride in my decision to be persistent in learning the industry.

  Worked together on a team of 5 analysts to determine a valuation of a company based upon industry and fundamental analysis. This included identification and analysis of the macro economic drivers of the industry, and the forecasted effects on financials to determine the value that will be provided to shareholders and provide a recommendation of a Buy, Sell, or Hold. Competing against other teams from universities in Idaho, our efforts won us the State Championship in the competition and an invitation to New York to compete nationally. Show less

The allocations are split between the five asset classes of fixed income,small/mid cap stocks, large cap stocks, S&P 500, and International Equities.
