      This past Spring, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy where I got the chance to study the Italian culture. I was enrolled in a course that discussed food, culture, and society in Italy, dating back to Ancient Roman times. Our class participated in cooking labs where we got to explore authentic Italian recipes, as well as field trips to the local markets, local deli stores, and Modena, Italy, where balsalmic vinegrette is created and aged.
