It is graded outstanding by Ofsted.Head of Design Technology Department responsibilities: - Design and implementation of a new DT curriculum for start-up Academy. Ongoing curriculum planning. - Responsibility for after school provision, trips and industry links.- Staff development and line management. Responsibility for DT teaching and learning, monitoring, observing and training members of the department and to lead by example by striving to teach consistently outstanding lessons.- Leading staff training sessions on areas of strengths, eg. Questioning in lessons and use of digital technology in lessons. Leverage-mentor for less experienced staff.- Management of the department budget and management of the facilities for the new Design Technology Department. - Active in the recruitment process for the expansion of the school, including shortlisting and interviews.Head of House responsibilities:- Monitoring and supporting the well-being and pastoral support of students in the vertical House System. - Deliver assemblies and organise and co-ordinate house competitions.
