  This was a temporary contract to investigate the feasibility of merging two different databases on the CASPAR system. Work involved meeting with the various teams using the system and assessing their needs, then creating solutions to any problems that arose as part of the project.

  Senior Scheduler rotating between the main Channel 5 channel and it's sister channels 5Star, 5USA, 5Select and 5Spike. The role is a step between Presentation Scheduler and Channel Operations Manager as it includes all the responsibilities of a Presentation Scheduler alongside managerial tasks such as managing the sponsorship across the channel, performing final checks on schedules before they are sent to transmission and stepping in for the Channel Operations Manager when they are absent. The Senior Scheduler is a first point of call for queries from the Schedulers in the team and is responsible for training new members and helping existing teammates improve their skills. Show less Stepping into this role as maternity cover, this role helped expand my skills in team management. The Channel Operations Manager for Multichannel looks after a team of 5 - three Junior Schedulers, one Scheduler and one Senior Scheduler. As well as day to day team management the Channel Operations Manager is responsible for representing the department in operational meetings, ad hoc projects such as Channel launches and rebrands and working with other departments to ensure channel operations are running smoothly. My time managing the team brought up many challenges such as training up new Junior Schedulers and a new Senior Scheduler during the busy pre-Christmas period and building a programme of one to one meetings and training with an underperforming team member.Since ending my placement as Channel Operations Manager I feel my skills in team management have strengthened, I have build relationships across the company and increased my confidence in this position.
