Key projects:• Remuneration review for the Rigging Services team to align internal rates with that of the external market. This strategy was both to encourage recruitment but, more critically, enhance retention;• Change management in relation to departmental restructures;• Development of a skills matrix for Food & Beverage to identify key skills required at different levels of waged roles, and provide a consistent, transparent framework to assist in recruitment, development and management of employees.• Communications strategy to enhance employee relations within Attractions & Support Services – this was at the manager/employee level to ensure that employees understood what was happening not only within the broader business, but more specifically the area in which they work day-to-day.       Responsible for all aspects of HR for Manukau Leisure Services (MLSL) both on a day to day operational level and also at a higher strategic level, this role reported in to both the MCC HR team and also directly the MLSL CEO. Key projects:• Absenteeism management – high levels of absenteeism were significantly managed down through the creation and management of a new Health Leave procedure. Training and education of both managers and staff was critical to the success of this project. Result was higher productivity and employee engagement.• Development of a performance management system for mangers at MLSL and an associated remuneration matrix – this also included a process to transfer all senior mangers onto Individual Employment Agreements.• Reviewing and updating all MLSL HR policies and procedures. This involved identifying gaps and creating new Policies & Procedures where necessary. • Re-designing and running Seasonal Lifeguard assessment days to facilitate an effective and efficient process for this high-volume annual recruitment need.• Development of an exit process to identify key turnover trends.
