      I was promoted to Department Chair to enhance an inclusive, student-centered, active learning environment by fostering development of thinking classrooms, standards-based grading, and inquiry-based learning. In this current role, I successfully transitioned the school’s learning environment from onsite to hybrid and virtual settings by developing and facilitating an internal K-12 Models of Learning Course to over 20 faculty members. I was hired to build school community through excellent classroom teaching across secondary and post-secondary curricula and promoting a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). In this position, achieved over 85% of Advanced Placement students earning college credit-eligible examination scores by guiding and mentoring students in calculus, statistics, and physics.

      I programmed and collaborated on the design and functionality of Stapplet, a free web-based supportsoftware designed to promote exploration of statistical concepts and data analysis, supplement popular digital statistics textbooks at the high school, AP, and college level, and facilitate remote teaching and learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The site sees over 600,000 worldwide users and 2.1 million sessions per year.
