Research and outreach interests: engineering education, sustainability (triple bottom line), surface water quality, runoff management, waste minimization and management, water use, infrastructure management and on-site (septic) wastewater treatment. Lead author of Introduction to Infrastructure textbook published by Wiley. Contributing author to Environmental Engineering: Fundamentals, Sustainability, Design textbook. Working with the Global Water Stewardship to provide sanitation improvements and environmental/public health education to rural communities in Costa Rica. Show less
