  I started working for Sam's Club in May of 2014, as a cashier. I was responsible for the actions that are expected from cashiers, but on top of that I had some additional responsibilities. As a cashier, I sold membership upgrades, helped our members renew memberships, took payments on credit accounts, sold warranties on products, and trained new cashiers.After about three months as a cashier, I was promoted to be a membership desk associate. Associates at the membership desk are responsible for much more than cashiers. Membership associates process returns, set up new credit accounts, creating memberships, and helping members who have problems or complaints. The membership desk is also hub for incoming calls, I helped members who were calling the club and transferred them to the correct department or helped with what they needed.In February of 2015 I was promoted to Member Service Supervisor. As a Member Service Supervisor I was responsible for maintaining the podium, which is where the cashiers go for change. I had to ensure that at all times that adequate bills and coins were available for the cashiers as needed, and that the cash was secure. I was also responsible for ensuring all of the front end associates receive their breaks and lunches as required.
