  I was in charge of the maxillofacial surgery unit at Dawadmi General Hospital, a 300 bedded secondary referral centre for the Al-Dawadmi governorate of Riyadh province.I was primarily involved in management of maxillofacial trauma cases reporting directly to my hospital and also referred from feeder hospital nearby. In addition to trauma cases, my clinic also managed cases with oral and maxillofacial pathology, minor oral surgical procedures and emergency management of dental trauma.

  As a faculty member in the Maxillofacial surgery department, I am involved in teaching under graduate and post graduate students, both the theoretical and clinical aspects of oral surgery, local anesthesia, medical problems in dentistry and maxillofacial surgery.I am the course director for a specialized course on medical emergencies and medically compromised patients in dentistry, delivered during the 4th year of Bachelor of Dental Science program at King Saud University, College of Dentistry.Also I am actively involved in various research activities. So far I have supervised 3 intern research projects and currently handling 2 more. My special area of interest is in the field of bone regeneration using various bone substitute materials and the applications of stem cells in maxillofacial reconstruction. Show less
