As a result of one of these projects, I feature in the attached video. This includes providing 'out of hours' support, emergency assistance, managing administrative tasks and shaping an environment that supports academic and personal development.Key responsibilities include:• Creating a welcoming, inclusive and supportive environment and a strong sense of community for students living in halls of residence.• Having an extensive knowledge of university health and safety, emergency, incident, accident and disciplinary procedures.• Dealing promptly with any misconduct or incident within halls of residence, calling on university security / welfare services / management or the emergency services as the circumstances dictate. • Assisting with the arrival, induction and departure of residents throughout the academic year.• Planning, organising and facilitating a range of events to encourage integration and interaction of residents.• Ensuring that administrative requirements and residential regulations are observed by residents.• Liaising with the Accommodation Service and facilities management staff about any issues affecting residents via written reports or phone depending on the urgency of the situation.• Facilitating tours of University accommodation. • Attending meetings of hall committees and other resident forums as required.I have also been involved in a project which provides insight into life in halls of residence at the University of Greenwich.
