I developed strong vendor relationships and leveraged these relationships to secure the most favorable terms for my organization.I managed all aspects of RFQ competitive bidding procedures and have extensive knowledge of Material Requirement Planning, which enabled me to make informed decisions and ensure that we were able to acquire the products and services we needed in a timely and cost-effective manner. I was responsible for purchasing $7.6 million dollars of fighter-jet parts for Marine Corps Aviation Squadron Support annually, and through my efforts, I ensured that the aviation squadron had the necessary parts to maintain their aircraft and meet their operational objectives.Additionally, I created, maintained, and updated a 100+ page handbook outlining proper purchasing and inventory management procedures for junior Marines entering the office.
