      Conceptual Designer

      Hiroshima and Yokohama: Was involved in implementation of cost-cutting design measures on RX-7 exterior, while working closely with Engineering and Planning groups. Extensive CAD training, using IBM CAD 3D surface modeling. Developed from concept to final production all-purpose van for sales in Japan. Work included concept sketches, model presentations and preproduction feasibility modeling. Finalized advanced 4-passenger sedan. Japanese language studies. Conversational Japanese speaker.

      Developed concepts and customer presentation for Hewlett-Packard, rotationally molded recycling receptacle. Designed and implemented a floor display for Bissell. Developed concept sketches, foam mockups, presentation rendering, client interfacing, preproduction prototypes, production estimating, computer\renderings with animation using 3D-Studio Max 3.1 and Adobe Photoshop 5.5. Projects: Blockbuster overhead signage – an aluminum extrusion with extruded plastic graphics and various steel floor displays. Sears Airtool display – a particleboard-based unit with pegboard and a vac-formed shell for various size air tools, and a paint chip rack made of wire. Viacom Prototype Store – Various 3- and 4-way floor displays using stained MDF and clear-coated steel accents and wall-mounted display cabinets in the Paramount section. Show less
