  As a counselor and later Shift Supervisor, I was responsible for working directly with At Risk adolescents. The children within the program were court ordered to be there. I helped to maintain them in their daily living arrangement; cooperatively working to provide a safe and healthy environment.

  It was my responsibility to maintain the safety and security of the High School. I also maintained the records of attendance, following the state guidelines on truancy.

  Sussex County Charter School for Technology

  Sept 2001 - now

  While in this position I held a key position in preparing and moving the school from it's old location to the current location of the school. It was my responsibility to ensure that within the ten day period of the move that every piece of property of the school was moved and that the school was ready to function when it moved into the new building. This move was done over Winter Break and was successful, all rooms were ready for education, phones, internet and technology was up and running. All school property was accounted for. Additionally, I held a key position in getting the district into a one to one chromebook/student use. In that I was responsible for organizing the transition, finding the proper platform and providing the necessary support in putting together the policy's, usage agreement and communication to parents and students in regards to student use. I held the responsibility to maintain the appropriate records. This transition was successful and the district currently uses the same type of platform. My position was eliminated in reorganization of the District.As the second in charge of the district the responsibility of supervising staff and contributing to the health educational environment was part of the complex system of a district. It helps when you have a wonderful staff who are competent and know what they are doing. Deeply involved in the growing use of technology in the classroom, as can be expected the duty of a Vice-Principal was to be mindful of successful trends and cognizant of opportunities. Show less

  I have been writing for years. I enjoy writing my stories as a hobby and part-time activity. Over the years it has helped me to improve my style of writing and communication. I have used my own experience in writing to encourage students to write their thoughts down and to not be afraid to share them to get constructive criticism.
