      Aug 2006 - Jun 2013

I collaborated with educators and students to integrate modern technology skills into classrooms. My background in both hardware, software, and pedagogy allowed me to provide start-to-finish solutions for educators. I was instrumental in helping to bring a 1:1 program to Burlington High. I also started BHS's drive to build (and print) our own textbooks in 2006, and helped to expand that program into the digital realm in the last few years. I worked to help coordinate several major (500+) conferences a year, as well as 75+ districts visiting the district. I was on the team that allowed my school to become an Apple Distinguished School for the 2012-3 year, and you can see me featured heavily in my schools Apple Education profile video on their website. Show less I taught all levels of both 9th and 12th grade English classrooms. This included working with co-teachers from the Special Education department. In this time, I also taught and developed the Media Production course, which focuses on creating digital video media. I have considerable experience with Final Cut, as well as shooting with a wide variety of cameras. During this time I developed and designed the new Senior textbook that we printed for our school. Layout was done via Adobe InDesign, and I helped manage the printing via POD services. Show less

I helped deploy Google Apps for Education, as well as several other district-wide software and hardware solutions. I trained both staff and students for 1:1 programs.

      District Instructional Technology Coach

I wrote the job description for this novel position. My primary mandate was to support our teachers in using technology to improve their lessons. To that end, I co-taught, performed demo lessons, created new workflows, led professional development sessions, spoke at conferences, created new media, provided first-line tech support, and in general provided help any way I could.I provided this support at every level in the district- from pre-K through 12th grade, as well as across all subjects. I further interacted and built projects with other district wide coaches and departments. Show less

I manage a group of seasoned Instructional Designers in the ideation, development, production, and maintenance of a rapidly growing docket of online programs- mostly at the graduate level. These programs are a combination of online, hybrid, and hyflex in their delivery with varying degrees of synchronous and asynchronous content. I work with program managers, program developers, deans, and other stakeholders to develop programatic standards, postures, integrations, infrastructure, and goals. I develop workflows, manage relationships with partner groups, develop staffing plans, and workload projections. Show less
