  Electrical Foreman

   Manage and supervise the electrical team. Overseeing and coordinate preventative maintenance. Ensure that the team responds to all breakdowns promptly and minimise breakdown rates by doing RCA’s(Root Cause Analysis). Ensure that the electrical team adheres and follow all safety procedures and standards (lock-out, etc.). Ensure contractors comply with the organizations OHSAS (Permits, etc.).  Assist the project team with all projects (giving resources, ordering spares). Plan the weekly tasks of the electrical team as well as major shutdowns. Ensure all spares are ordered and available in time for preventive maintenance. (Maintenance audits are done in advance in order to ensure we have all spares available). Ensure all works orders are captured on the JDE system. Liaising with production department heads in optimizing plant efficiencies and process improvements. Do job observations and arrange formal training where applicable for all employees. Mentor employees and keep them focussed and motivated. Ensure KPI’s are reached within the electrical department (machine availability, overtime is at a minimum etc.). Drive cost saving initiatives within the department (ensure lights, aircons are switched off after hours). Place orders on JDE system from external customers after obtaining 3 quotes from vendors. Ensure that all work is done within the departmental budget (not overspending).
