  Programme Test Manager - Contract

  I was engaged by DWP for 2 very distinct roles:a. Head up a major programme of delivery and transformation associated with the Universal Credit benefit system. This traversed four interfaces, numerous tax/debt applications, various technologies, GDS Agile methodology and numerous suppliers (DWP, UC, HMRC, HP, IBM; Capita & BT) distributed geographically including off-shore. I was responsible for end to end delivery of all test phases (Functional, System, Integration, Performance, UAT, OAT), including assurance of third party testing and commercial input, as well as planning and implementation of the Controlled Go Live. b. DWP were also looking to reduce their dependency on large suppliers and bring in-house large aspects of development and test, so I have been working to build that Test Function so that it has the necessary resource, skill base and flexibility to deal with the challenges ahead.In May my contract was renewed and I was given two new projects to deliver.
