  This is one of the most exciting working place I have worked so far. In this restaurant, though all I do is wait tables and dish washing, I had great fun working with a Japanese close-knitted employees. In this job, I had overcame my fear of approaching customers and learnt the skills of listening to customers needs (besides food, customers may sometimes joyfully share with me about their day).In this sushi restaurant, during lunch period, work atmosphere becomes hectic and chaotic, sometimes it seems like a race to wait 3-4 tables and random customers on the way to the order station, the atmosphere caused me to achieve the ability to remember the requests of the customers for their food. Hence, through this restaurant I got to 'rub shoulders' with Japanese colleagues, and learnt their work ethics, such as punctuality and focus in delivering the best out of ourselves in task given (even if it's just waiting tables).   First official office work after graduation, grateful and treasured the opportunity given as a heads up towards the accounting career. In this position, I was expected to deliver accurate details of company's staff and customers invoice, and keeping company's accounts up-to-date. I have achieved to master MYOB accounting software while working for this company, and gain much related knowledge for BASlink, Monthly PAYG and staff's superannuation fund contribution. Mistakes are easily involved in my task as employees services to customers are charged at different rates and dependent on the working hours/days they had contributed. Hence, I have to pay a lot of attention to many micro-details of the company's payroll tax and superannuation period (as some staff have different contribution periods). However, it was manageable with much care. Company's staffs and employer heavily depend on my task for their daily payment and income. Show less
