  I don't consider myself particularly creative at writing, but this one year university placement certainly pushed me in at the deep end. I was largely tasked with writing press releases for accounts such as Sunseeker International, BP, McDonald's, The Armed Forces, ProShare among other household names. I was also put in charge of creating and writing the in-house employee magazine. My proudest achievement has to have been writing, and having published, a whole PR training manual for TSB school liaison officers. Following my placement at Marketing Matters, I chose to write my dissertation on sponsorship materials to the Education Sector, for which I received a 1st. Show less

  Thanks to Mr Meade himself, I felt myself capable of running my own business. He brought me on from an assistant in the buying department and showed me just what responsibility was all about. He certainly held me accountable. As Menswear Buyer I was responsible for sourcing two ranges per year for a mail-order catalogue with a turnover of in excess of £1 million (to be fair, I can't remember the exact figures)! We sourced product from all over Europe from the inception of fabric design to final product. I visited suppliers in Jermyn Street and factories in Czech Republic, Portugal, Turkey & UK to select fabric and product and follow it through right until delivery including quality control. Products under my remit included 2 fold 100s shirts, men's tailoring, shoes, silk ties, knitwear and more. I still have nightmares that I have missed a range review! Show less

  Typically we are invited in by CEOs or Food & Beverage Directors who are frustrated by the amount of management time which gets taken up by their sandwich offering. A number are annoyed by the lacklustre service, lack of flexibility or pro-activity they get from their current provider. Perhaps they are fed up with late or sporadic deliveries or are sick and tired with shoddy quality.
