  Part of Group Marketing & Communications Division, my primary day-to-day responsibility was to oversee Media & PR for CIMB Group, working closely with various business entities within the Group in Malaysia as well as supporting the local communications teams in ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. I've also had the opportunity to manage holistic PR for the title sponsorship of a multi-million dollar global sporting event, CIMB Classic - PGA TOUR's only FedEx Cup event in Southeast Asia. In addition, my experience encompassed exposure gained aboard, most notably: - Posted to Bangkok, Thailand to spearhead external & internal communications, PR strategy planning, and events management for the re-branding of a newly acquired local bank- Posted to Phnom Penh, Cambodia to facilitate external communications and event matters pertaining to the acquisition of new banking license in Phnom Penh and to initiate contacts with local PR & media agency- Posted to Astana, Kazakhstan to facilitate external communications and event matters pertaining to the signing of new fund investment in Kazakhstan- Posted to Yangon, Myanmar to run a press conference for the Group CEO as part of the Group’s strategy in obtaining a banking license in MyanmarI was also responsible for daily media monitoring and round-the-clock social media policing.
