My research topic was a predictive models for elastic resource allocation (autoscaling) in NFV/SDN environments. Since my undergraduate formation, I have been passionate about traffic engineering and network virtualization topics. With this actual research I relate both topics using AI techniques in a 5G context. We are pioneers in the use of HTM as a prediction technique.

In my final degree project, I simulated, emulated and implemented a testbed to compare the IPTV performance on SDN and traditional networks. With this project, I was awarded a distinction.

      Implementation of a testing solution for the xNF (Network Functions) instantiation process, focused on infrastructure requirements fulfilment and criteria for successful operation. I also designed and implemented orchestration pipelines to deploy xNF in an automated way, focusing on CI/CD practices. Automated testing of xNF instantiated from ETSI OSM (Open Source MANO) tool. The testing addresses day-0, day-1 and day-2 configurations. Analysis, research and deployment of cloud-native open source applications and services for 4G/5G technologies. The applications and services were deployed on Kubernetes clusters based on Bare-Metal K8S, VMWare Tanzu, OpenShift and EKS, and VIM technologies such as OpenStack, vSphere and VIO (VMWare Integrated OpenStack). I also designed and implemented cloud-native OSS systems for telecommunications operators, focusing on MLOps practices using Kubeflow. Perform the analysis of massive data collected from mobile networks, from counters until user experience metrics like MOS or CEI. Collaboration in data visualization and BI tasks, focused on data processing and data insights acquisition using tools such as Apache Superset, Power BI or Excel.
