      Second Chef

      As second chef, I worked alongside the Head Chef and managed one under chef with the preparation and service of meals for between 20-350 customers. On occasion, we had late bookings so had to be able to work on our feet and pull together as a team in order to cater for these late bookings, ranging from 15-100 people. I liaised with the Head Chef to discuss menu ideas and helped with placing food orders and dealt with any delivery issues. I also had to keep temperature logs of food storage areas and when receiving deliveries, making sure everything was at the correct temperature. In the case of the Head Chef being absent, I ensured the kitchen was managed as normal so there were no issues upon his return. My main duties were starters and desserts; however, my true passion was on the mains and the experimentation of the recipe and facing challenges with the recipe may not have encountered or had a chance to do. I also ensured the cleanliness of all areas of both the upstairs and downstairs kitchen to ensure it sticks to health and hygiene regulations. Show less

I also helped to maintain and fix any computer/IT related issues that occurred whilst on shift.
