Working to deliver excellent quality tours for a diverse range of clients. From Household appliances, motor vehicles and technical equipment to educational tours designed to inspire young adults. Within my role I am required to have a developed sense of planning, organisation and the ability to deliver high quality events on Roadshow vehicles, sometimes with a short turn around. I look after a number of areas which ensure the successful running of events. These include; the creation and development of tour schedules in UK, Europe and The Middle East organising the logistics of vehicles and working hours of HGV drivers and working with a team to apply for customs documentation. Liaising with contractors whilst simultaneously booking event sites and spaces in order to create highly engaging roadshow events for clients and customers is a key part of my role. Through this aspect of my role I am able to understand the progress of the project and continually update clients on the progress of event development along with budget implications for the events taking place.Whilst working on educational tours I recruit and manage up to 30 event staff at one time. As a team we plan and deliver intensive training events. The role requires that I plan schedules, work with databases, work with outside agencies to collate data, train and instruct call-team members, and liaise with schools to plan events. Show less Working on an awareness campaign for Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust, I went out on the road, speaking to the general public about cervical screening, cervical cancer and raising awareness about signs and symptoms. Working on a beautifully designed Roadshow Vehicle with an eye-catching message emboldened on the sides, I managed volunteers from all corners of England, Scotland and Wales. Women affected by cervical cancer, women who had knows friends with the condition and others who had had symptoms caught early - we all went out to spread the word about cervical cancer prevention and screening. Capturing and collating data on a daily basis, compassionately speaking with women about sensitive issues and managing teams of people. This role was a brilliant way to develop people-facing, people manginig and training skills. I am proud to have been part of a team delivering such a positive, life saving message! Show less
