      • Responsible for the entire planning and purchase function of the organization reporting directly to the COO and Chairman. Led a team of 3 junior purchase officers under me.• Responsible for CAPEX purchase/Contracts for new plant at Jhansi to the tune of over INR 100 Crs. Negotiated and finalized contractors and equipment suppliers which led to savings which were 20% below the estimated budget for the plant. Handled Imports alone to the tune of INR 50 Crs annually.• Negotiated a purchase deal/agreement with American Gilsonite Company (the main and most expensive raw material supplier) for non-incremental rates for a period of 3 years which lead to savings roughly to the tune of INR 5 Crs over a period of 3 years. During the same period signed a deal with Iranian Gilsonite (as an alternate to American Gilsonite Company) which was supplying the material at half the cost leading to massive savings to the company.• Developed HDPE drums as an alternative to Metal drums for packing of Bitumen Emulsion. This led to savings in material packing to the tune of 20% across 6 plants. • Kept developing new vendors on a regular basis to encourage competition and control raw material price rise. • Responsible for keeping a close track with COLAS, France for any new developments in the field of Bitumen Emulsion and related products. Visited COLAS HQ in Paris, France in March’07 to study the facilities of the parent company and understand their purchase procedures and explore new business opportunities. • Responsible for daily sales reporting to the CEO and COO and monthly business analysis on business growth. Keeping a track of Hospitality given to parent company (HPCL).• Preparing revenue budgets for the financial year and feasibility reports for entering new businesses as per market requirement. • Along with the technical head, came up with two new applications called Micro surfacing and Road Bond which added to the top line of the company by roughly 12%.       • Responsible for purchase of raw materials and capital expenditure goods at site. Almost 95% of the goods were procured at costs 20% lower than the costs submitted during the bidding process.• Responsible for finalization of Civil & MEP contracts at new and ongoing sites after careful evaluation of sub-contractors. Regular Vendor management led to cost efficiency to the tune of 10-15% vis a vis new vendor.• During my tenure was designated to lead the purchase team for 5 solar power plants of 180 MW capacity between Gujarat and Rajasthan. These were part of the Charanka Solar Park under the state solar policy. These were fast track projects required to be completed within a period of 90 days each. Due to a streamlined vendor management and procurement process we managed to complete the projects before time, leading to an additional profit of INR 4 Crores.• Direct handling of contract claims for various completed projects and after thorough vetting of contract documents submitting a report to the client. Handled the claims for three projects which led to a combined recovery of INR 21 Crores.• Streamlined the contract claims process which led to an improvement in the claims process and faster recovery from clients.• Managed cross functional teams from Business development, finance, accounts, and vendors.
