   Heading central metrology lab. & co-ordination with all other measuring rooms across the plant. Project leader & coordinator for various improvement projects at central metrology lab. Initiator for one of the ambitious projects “Journey from complexity to the simplicity” where all non-value added activities eliminated and all key processes simplified. Planning, coordination and implementation of Quality planning and measurement methods for products under development. Planning & execution of measurement for initial sample submission via dimensional & functional parameter conformance in line with process control plan. Evaluate engineering drawing requirements for geometrical dimension and tolerance (GD&T) to identify measurement methodology. Identification, selection, finalization, planning, installation for precision and complex measuring equipment / instrument like Surface finish tester, Roundness tester, Contour testers, Profile projector, dial calibrator, etc. Liaison with equipment / instrument suppliers for capital procurement & finalization. Plan & identify training needs to have developed & skilled manpower for metrology lab. & that too with development of multi skill/tasking. Planning, monitoring and finalizing capital investment budget for new measuring facilities across the plant. One of the decisive members from CFT for the approval of any new measuring equipment through defining its acceptance criteria and evaluating gauge capability (Cg/Cgk) / gauge repeat precision. Plan & to ensure timely execution of MSA for all measuring equipment as per process control plan. Identify the requirement of infrastructure for the advancement of central metrology lab., budgeting for capital items & establishment of the same. Active member of Network of Competence (Global Network) for Gage Process & representative from Schaeffler-INDIA. QRM coordinator for both Central & Segment Quality functions.
